The incident took place around 5:24 p.m., Wednesday, March 17, on Union Avenue in Bridgeport.
When Bridgeport officers arrived on the scene they located the Bridgeport man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at 100 Blackstone St., said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.
Medics were called and, with the assistance of police, quickly transported the victim to Bridgeport Hospital where he later died.
"The Bridgeport Police Department offers its sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the victim," Jones said.
